It sounds like Radiohead but with guitar!
It’s essentially a new Radiohead album

The songs can betray you. The Melodie’s are light with foreboding lyrics. Like the “fake smile” Thom explained of the Bands Name Sake. Johnny’s String arrangements of A Moon Shaped Pool are back weaving through minimal drums and the electro-scapes of Kid A. Another masterpiece gentlemen!!!
Great record. I love THE SMILE

The first couple of singles released before the release were good....but the entre album is an explosive audio delight....its like Radiohead with more of the electronic elements of KID A, Amnesiac and a Moon Shaped Pool morphing into variations of new songs. I ordered the vinyl copy as well!
Thank you Thom and Jonny🖤

Everything I was hoping for and more. Stripped back and lean, but challenging. Eerie, cool grooves, straight up math rock, wild meters, (The Same gave my brain a run for its money) and some of the best use of a delay pedal ever, (on Thin Thing and The Opposite especially) just next level stuff.
Shorter songs than I’ve come to expect from the guys, but they get straight to the point, alternating between blowing my mind, breaking my neck, and shattering my heart. As fan for nearly 30 years now, this one hits on all cylinders for me.
Really, really hope The Smile isn’t a one off. Listening to this one time flies fast. Many repeated listens definitely required.
The First Proper Radiohead Album in Years

This is a collaboratioin between Thom Yorke, Johnny Greenwood, both from Radiohead and Tom Skinner, drummer from Sons of Kemet. So it's no suprise it sounds like RADIOHEAD. Fortunately, it sounds more like older material from the "OK Computer" era. It abandons the bleepy electronica experimental albums for a more traditional, acoustic focused proper record which includes some gorgeous string arrangements. It's the best thing these musicians have released in a long time.
Thom and Jonny do it again!

Intimate sound. Wonderful album!
Dense, dark, lite, improvisational, the periodic table…
